SaRA Health

How it works

Text check-ins between visits, reviewed by your clinicians.

SaRA lists patients who may qualify, keeps them engaged at home by text, shows your clinicians who needs them, and documents the care so it can be billed.

The four steps

01 · IDENTIFY

Patients who may qualify, surfaced for you

SaRA reads your schedule and caseload in the EMR and lists patients who may be a fit for remote therapeutic monitoring. Your clinicians decide who enrolls, the patient agrees to texts, and enrollment takes seconds.

02 · ENGAGE

Check-ins patients actually answer

Personalized text check-ins follow each patient's injury and plan of care: pain, home exercises and how the week is going. Patients average a 65% engagement rate.

03 · ATTEND

Your team sees who needs them

Responses flow into one place, which means fewer phone calls, emails and texts. Your team sees who engaged, who is drifting and who needs a call.

04 · BILL

Documentation recorded as care happens

Monitoring days and clinician time are recorded as they happen. Check-ins support the device supply codes; clinician time, including a live conversation with the patient each month, supports treatment management. Our billing team submits the claims and works the denials.

Remote therapeutic monitoring

The 2026 RTM codes SaRA supports

Including the two codes new for 2026: 98985 for 2 to 15 days of monitoring data and 98979 for 10 to 19 minutes of treatment management.

For physician-led practices

PCM and CCM time, recorded the same way

Orthopedic and pain practices whose physicians or other qualified practitioners bill care management can record that time in SaRA too. Therapists do not bill these codes.

Questions

Do patients need to download an app?

No. SaRA runs over text message, so there is nothing to download. Patients answer check-ins from the phone they already have.

Which patients is SaRA for?

Patients in a plan of care whose musculoskeletal condition can be monitored between visits. SaRA lists patients who may be a fit; your clinicians decide who enrolls.

How do patients agree to texts, and can they stop?

Patients agree to receive texts when they enroll. The first message names your clinic, and patients can reply STOP at any time to stop or HELP for help.

How much clinician time does it take?

Check-ins run on their own. Clinicians spend their time on the patients SaRA highlights, and that time is recorded so it can be billed under the treatment management codes, which also need a live conversation with the patient each month.

Does it work with our EMR?

SaRA connects to WebPT, Raintree, Prompt, athenahealth and Spry, and works with other browser-based EMRs. Tell us yours in the demo and we will show you the workflow.

Who bills the claims?

Our billing team does. We prepare and submit the RTM claims from what SaRA records, follow them through payment, and work the denials.

How is SaRA priced?

We walk through pricing in the demo, using your own patient numbers.
